ABSTRACT : In the present study an efficient and easy method was followed for the isolation
of DNA from meristem cylinder in five chewing sugarcane varieties, namely Amrita, Bomaby,
Babulal (Co. 527), Q83 and Misrimala. The quality and quantity of DNA were assured by
visual estimation using agarose gel electrophoresis and UV spectrophotometry. The highest
amount of DNA was retrieved from the Amrita (3250 ng/ml) .......Details at: scholar.google.com/scholar?oi=bibs

Authors : Mohammed Shahjahan Kabir, Md Mehadi Hasan Sohag
Journal name : Medicine and Biology
Abstract: Alkaptonuria (AKU), the root cause of Arthritis and Ochronosis is caused for the
deficiency of Alkaptons which is rare hereditary metabolic disorder of phenylalanine and
tyrosine catabolism, was the first disease to be interpreted as an inborn error of metabolism.
AKU patients are deficient for homogentisate 1, 2 dioxygenase (HGD); while the
intermediate of alkaptonuria (homogentisate) are proceeded with the Hydroxyphenyl
pyruvate deoxygenase (HPPD)....Details at:http://cjimb.ca/Issues/ISSN%201925
